What does LH do with checked bags for a 14hr layover?
I am looking to fly on LH in April, EDI-FRA-ATL. There is a 14 hr layover between the EDI-FRA and FRA-ATL flights. We would like to get a hotel, but don't really want to bring all our checked bags with us. Will LH keep them somewhere to load on our next flight, or will we have to collect them at baggage claim, even though they should be checked all the way through to ATL?
