I have to say, although I love the idea of custom shirts and suits (and my wedding suit was true bespoke -- i.e. hand-cut and stitched), I'm a bit wary about the Chinese offerings, and have not yet waded in yet.
I really can't believe that one can get horn buttons, true surgeon's cuffs etc, in a suit of 100% wool for 1000RMB. The fabric should cost more than that.
Having said that, I've never had custom shirts made, and keep meaning to go somewhere to get measured, but yaxiu etc always look crowded. I'd be willing to give it a go. I'd be interested in some recommendations.
Fyi, 3.3 and yaxiu are both in/ next to sanlitun village.
