I stopped short of saying that mainly because it will sound like MEM hate, but really that is the case.

I almost make it a point to not take anything via ATL, CLT is a lot easier, and if you are aiming to connect whilst deplaning off a MEM jet, you better have 35-40 mins to spare mainly because you won't be able to deplane in time.
