I know of four SFO-based GS flyers that jumped ship shortly after 3/3, and all but one of them have recently returned to UA after shifting all of their flying to other carriers for 3-6 months. It turns out that for them, fewer connections are far more valuable than a quality experience, and UA's operational performance has recovered enough to be trusted again in their eyes.
One still hasn't made the move back.
