So no matter what the marketing of travel agencies or of the vitnamean dictatorship tells you, no matter how beautiful the Nam Hai Hotel was, no matter what.... you can not change the wildnerness of chinese see.
I'm a good swimmer and I was hughly disappointed by this fact.
Even adults aren't able to swim here. So in terms of security for bathing: just avoid vietnam.
Let me get this straight...
1) You went to a part of coastal Vietnam that gets the northeast monsoon in the winter, and you were actually surprised that the water was too rough to swim? Ever been to Phuket beaches in August?
2) You went to one location in the winter, yet are now an authority on conditions year-round at all beaches of Vietnam.
3) By inference from your post title, beaches are the only reason to take kids on a trip, so if there are no available beaches, kids should not be taken on a trip.
Amazing.
