EDIT: A friend of mine late last week waited 15-20 minutes for Bremen to answer, they took his membership number - then erroneously told him to call UK BAEC, didn't listen to protestations that this was wrong and then hung up. I've experienced similar in the past.
EDIT 2: £15+ in calls, to correct a BA.com error....
