Loud people outnumber quiet people in MAN T2 Escape lounge
Disclaimer! I'm not being deadly serious here.
7am in the Escape lounge having woken up at 5am to get here and all I want is to curl up in a chair with a mug of hot chocolate and doze, but the rest of the T2 travelling public seemed to be conspiring to disturb my slumber. I'd say a good 2/3 of the people in here are either having loud conversations on their phones or gossiping loudly.
Mr Thomas-Pink-Shirt is talking loudly on the phone about his "amazing new car" (actually a Vauxhall Astra) that is "the best turbo-diesel model they make", and then segueing into a detailed itinerary of his trip around the Mid-West on a seminar tour... He also spent five minutes actually describing how he was put on hold for an hour with UA to get rerouted due to Hurricane Sandy - descriptions of the music they wee playing and everything. How bored must the person on the other end of the phone have been?
Mr My-Moustache-Has-A-Life-Of-Its-Own who is shouting "Eh? Eh?" every time his daughter starts opening loudly about how her niece "can't possibly survive on £15000 a year while she's doing her PhD. She can't possibly afford to eat out." And his daughter posting on Facebook about she was in the exec lounge and then describing it to Mr Moustache.
Mr Fake-Rolex demanding that while he is away his wife should wallpaper the back wall of the sitting room.
It goes on. I was really annoyed at first, but now I'm chuckling at the things that people think are soooooo important that they must talk about it right now in a loud voice so everyone else can hear.
