Did you click on rate details to see if the price changes? I know if the rate increases it displays the first night rate with an * indicating a rate change during the stay. If not book two stays, I just booked two night paid with a four night reward to take advantage of a cheaper rate for the first two nights.
I have seen this rate change several times when booking at Marriott.com, but never at Hilton.com.
I just book different stays and at check in I ask that they put everything under one folio, to avoid having to retro-claim the points later, because those are not credited correctly.
