Curious as to what the ATM situation is FCO airport? I have a trip to Rome soon and don't plan on bringing much cash in the form of Euros. Will Euros be easily obtainable at FCO? Or should I definitely bring a small amount for initial cab ride, etc.?
I always do what
UAPremExecflyer suggests. But there are ATMs readily available at FCO.
I'm assuming you'll be arriving at T3.
Here's the map for that terminal and you'll see where the ATMs are located. (They're referred to as "Bancomats" and they're marked on the map with a backward 'E' inside a diamond - or just scroll down to see the Legend section to recognize the icon).
Also, just as backup, it's good to know there's an ATM within the FCO Hilton which is connected to the airport via a bridge with a moving pedestrian thing. (I usually start my trips with my first night at this airport hotel, so I always use their ATM - traveling solo it feels far safer to me to use since it's in a quiet hotel lobby vs the crowded and chaotic airport).
