QR is good- I agree.
The selection on EK is even larger and the interface a little bit more intuitive. At least on the 777 the screen on the EK aircraft are enormous.
I can understand the limitation on the older aircraft of LH/LX from a technology point of view- no idea why this would apply for the new airframes however nor the rennovated aircraft.
