Baggage Allowance Delhi-Bahrain-London-Dallas

Booked award travel using AA miles with:
Gulf air on economy Delhi-Bahrain-London-Dallas

Delhi-Bahrain-London is on Gulf-Air, while London-Dallas is on American.

I was told by the AA agent booking the ticket that Gulf policies will apply for checked baggage and that I'm allowed 2 checked bags, each up-to 23 kg.

However when I called Gulf Air, their agent said since it's an American Airlines issued ticket, their baggage policy will apply, meaning only 1 checked bag.

Looking on Gulf website, it says the below which to me interprets as 2 checked bags per passenger. Welcome inputs:

Gulf Air Codeshare flights operated by American Airlines to and from the USA or Canada, have a special piece concept applicable

Economy

Two checked pieces, provided the total linear dimensions (height + width + depth) for both bags added together does not exceed 273 cm (107 inches) and the weight of each bag does not exceed 23 kg (50 lbs).

Bags that weigh more than 23 kg (50 lbs) but below 32 kg (70 lbs) will incur a fixed overweight charge of USD50.00 for economy passengers.
