This enclosure has both connectors. Once you've plugged the drive in externally, right-click on My Computer and choose Manage. Then select Disk Management on the left-hand side. You should see the drive in the list of drives on the computer, and you can right-click and reformat the drive.
That should do it!
I have one hooked up, did as you said above and the system sees it but says Disk 7 , unknown , "not initialized" 465GB , unallocated, it does not show up in the list of volumes like C, D and F
I cannot click on it to format it , is there another way ?
What next ?
and if I get that far do I format in Fat32 or NTFS ?
