I personally prefer hanging out in the Cave Creek area, which could be considered part of Snobsdale it's prettier and more "Arizona-ey" the Chamber of Commerce has a listing of eating/drinking places seems pretty descriptive, with links:

I like the "Horny Toad" restaurant, the atmosphere is actually a lot nicer than it seems in the pictures. Attracts a nice crowd, I mean. Tonto's Bar n Grill I heard is good but haven't been. Be careful though Scottsdale seems to have a higher opinion of itself than deserved- in regards to restaurants I mean. Not much of a drinker so I can't recommend any good watering holes.
