I have literally seen thousands of ticketed situations much like the OPs and the miles generally get credited without any request for an exception. If the OP can't get the number in before check-in or at check-in, a rep for the airline at the airport will usually enter it in anyway. If for some reason the flight doesn't credit, missing mileage credit procedures work just fine like they do even when the names are in perfect alignment. Status benefits generally applied just fine -- even last week.
