Scammed by American Express
Hello, been lurking a long time.
I recently upgraded my Delta Amex from Platinum to Reserve for an advertised 10,000 MQMs (having read this forum for a while I saved screen shots). For whatever reason my Platinum Account did not upgrade and it went as a new account. Called Amex and they said it was a computer glitch, cancelled my platinum account and told me not to worry. Six weeks go by and no MQMs. After many many calls I am informed that there was a computer error and there is no way for them to fix it as Delta doesn't allow them to give the MQMs. I've emailed the screen shots and they said even though the error was theirs, there's nothing they can do about it. I've spoken to several supervisors to no avail. Any ideas or am I out of luck here?
Of course I am sitting 2000 miles short of GM - should have saved the annual fee and gone to Florida for the weekend.....
