WWYD? Question about options in Seoul and Bangkok

Hello everyone,

not quite sure if this is a better place to post this, or at the hyatt forum but hopefully I can get some insight here. Some significant info:

I have an eight night stay in bangkok, followed by a 9 night in seoul and jeju.

My plat status will drop and I will be Gold for this.
I am a Hyatt Diamond with suite upgrade certz.

I have a choice to make. Either I can pay 8 night cash in bangkok, stay at a nice 5 star resort(most likely with a suite upgrade, and definitely breakfast/lounge access).this will cost me 100 to 150 all in, per night. This could be at the hilton/conrad, Hyatt, or even the radusson blu. This means I will have to redeem points for 5 nights for the sheraton dcube in seoul, or the sheraton in walkerhill. Most likely no upgrade with gold, no breakfast.

Or I could redeem 8 nights in BKK at any of their cat 2 properties, which includes royal orchid, aloft and four points), and redeem one night at above spg properties in seoul, and pay cash for four nigts at park or grand hyatt with full diamond benefits including a confirmed suite upgrade.

I guess a thirs option would be to spend 8 nights cash and points at the bkk properties, redeem 3 nights at seoul at above properties and cash 2 nights at park hyatt. This option saves me a couple hundred. Could use that cash to redeem 6 nights in bkk instead cash and points than do 2 cash nights at a better propery, listed above. Seoul redemptions would remain the same

The other four nights in seoul will be a night at W, night at ritz or JW(both with points), and two cash nights in jeju island.

both options above come to about the same price... Based on my elite status and situation, what would you choose? I have never stayed at any of the spg properties in bkk that i mentioned above. Earning points does not matter to me in this case.

I honestly have no idea which route to take, as I am unsure about what is the better value for a lower end luxury luxury vacation(wish i had the budget for the Mandarin at bkk )

I appreciate any insight, opinion or comment as this will help with my decision. Receiving a free breakfast is a big plus for me as I know both cities its hard to eat a western breakfast so that may be another point of reference(i cant believe how expensive milk and butter is in seoul). sorry for bad grammar and spelling, typed it all out on tablet haha
