Not defending UA here but the BusinessFirst service on three class aircraft is different as a result of different galley and cart configurations that require preplating and delivery from a standard cart. Coming from a pmCO BusinessFirst experience it's a big downgrade. I would argue they should sell two class as BusinessFirst because seat and service are more a hybrid of J/F, and three class as Business because its more of a C experience.
Agreed. I have recently flown ORD-FRA on a 3-class 772 and ORD-CDG on the 2-class 763. Both are staffed with sUA crews but the difference in service was striking. Meals delivered on trays on the 3-class flight, but delivered on plates straight onto the table (GlobalFirst style).
