IPTE on the 777 may be 2-4-2 (as is BA, but that rarely is talked about), but the seats are longer and have larger foot cutouts than the CO 777 design. Anybody over 6' will take immediate note. Moreover, the IFE interface on the CO aircraft operates just as bad as it looks - inexcusable in 2012.

As for food service, 3-cabin will remain cart service due to galley configuration.

Have fun - if you consider the 763 IPTE C seats 'miserable', these 763/4s have even shorter length than the CO 777 - I can't sleep in them. They have more storage space, but they are poorly designed otherwise, with a far more crammed in 'sardine' feeling than the UA 763 - bed length and foot cubby space are both severely compromised. The middle seat sounds nice in theory, but in my experience, has only been a recipe to feel 'stranded' in the middle of the pot, with disruptive traffic attacking you from both sides, and virtually no place to rest a drink - a relatively poorly designed setup in practice It's easy to make judgments about products on the internet using horizontal abreast seating count, but in reality there's a lot more nuance. There was a lot of internet hoopla regarding these regonfigured aircraft, but up front is nothing special. I prefer the IPTE 763 seats, and vastly prefer having an F cabin to jump up to, which has a far better product.

Also, the color scheme on the CO premium cabins is about as bland and tasteless as they come. UA and other major airlines use design consulting firms to make such decisions.
