I have stated in multiple SS and CS; there really is no debate as SS is palpably superior in just about every way. The kitchen in the SS is much classier (nice backsplash for instance) and the bed linens are nicer. Light touch housekeeping has been standard in the SS I have stayed in. They will schedule your full service cleaning when you check in if you are staying a week or more. The fact that the rooms are nicer, breakfast is included, and you get free beer/wine T-TH makes the additional cost worth it in the OP's case. Another thing to keep in mind is most SS have a pool while IME CS often do not (not sure if this is important to you).
