I have searched both Delta and Air France forums, but still need some specific input from any of the more experienced folks out there.
Just booked a trip to Italy in November via Delta's website.
Return leg is on Air France from CDG-LAX on 11/30/12 departing CDG at 1:15pm.
I booked into Premium Economy, have 1 seat in Row 18, 1 seat in Row 20 for my wife and I (the only seats that were available when I booked).
Delta Itinerary lists the equipment as an Airbus A380-800 for Delta 8395 (AF66).
When I check the flight on Air France, it lists the equipment as a Boeing 777-300 (303 seats configuration is the one that matches the seating arrangement Delta presents on it's site for seat selection).
My questions are:
1) Which equipment am I really flying on?
2) What do you think my chances are that seats will free up and I will be able to change seat selection so my wife and I can sit together.
3) Despite being Delta PLAT, with plenty of miles and SWUs to use for upgrading, likely the recent Air France actions to block Delta upgrades will likely prevent me from moving up to Business - right?

A few comments:
I have never seen the aircraft type not sync up in schedules between Delta and AF. However, if you do see a difference, always go with the information from the company who is actually flying the plane, in this case AF.
Go to AF.com and check on your seats. The seats there are the actual seat assignments, not necessarily what Delta tells you. This is an annoying problem that has been discussed in many threads. Once you check on your seats on AF.com, you may see other seats available. If there is still a disconnect, call AF.
For #3, you can see from the threads that at this point, it doesn't seem possible. If they need to opup people, they will opup all their elites before they begin to opup DL elites.
By the way, only 15 posts since 2005! I lurked for years before signing up, but you're averaging 2 posts a year...
