Pretty sure if you have status you'll be given an invite for one of the contract lounges - not great, but bigger than the small hole occupied by the KLM/AF Lounge.

If no lounge access, then I recommend Cafe Nero for a decent coffee and a seat before boarding. £5 spent there is better than the £15 pay per use lounges.
