A now-retired boss who we all strongly disliked got into a serious argument with FA's on an American flight LHR-DFW and it became obvious that AA kept a record on him.

He had another serious temper issue on another airline and got blocked from making future bookings on that airline.

I would say that in each case the airlines were correct in keeping a record on this jerk.

Now that he is paying his own way, he drives around the US and does not fly overseas.
