No upgrades on graphic card, was hoping for a good specs on the 13" Macs. The one on the 15" is what I want, but too bulky and too expensive.

The DVD drive on my ancient MacBook died a couple of years ago, but I had an external drive for when I wanted to watch my DVDs. Then it died too. Nowadays when I want to watch anything I have on DVD (or not), I look at my "alternate sources" and get a digital copy.

I would think with the shiny!new!retina! screen, a BluRay/DVD/etc. drive would be in the new Macs.

I know this is not a specific Apple thread but eh, so now the 13" MBP with Retina and 13" MBA have even fewer differences. Like better specs and screen for the former, while the latter is now only 300 gram lighter (1.62 kg vs 1.35 kg)? The price difference is less than a thousand dollars.

Maybe they are phasing the MBA out. No updates always seem like it will be forever.
