I suspect the same too.
KLM is, IMO, the great canceller of UK regional flights - which are often the first to go when an aircraft goes tech elsewhere and there are only a few booked on a low-yield German Ocean Jumper to places like MME, LBA, NWI etc.
That said, I do impose my own extended MCTs when flying in Winter, just as I give myself more time when driving and taking the train.
