Having stayed at all of the brands you mentioned, my family has enjoyed the Staybridge Suites more than the others. The Staybridge Suites that we have stayed in seemed more upscale than the Homewood Suites or Residence Inns where we stayed. All of these brands offer manager's receptions during the week; however, Candlewood Suites does not.

CS does not offer complimentary breakfast nor manager's receptions; however, CS does offer pre-packaged items for purchase in its pantry near the front desk. It is not a substitute for breakfast in my opinion. There is a definite difference in the quality of furnishings - depending on when the CS was built. CS are comparable to a HI Express in my experience, but in a suite or studio suite setup.

The amenities offered at Staybrige Suites would make me choose the Staybridge Suites over the Candlewood Suites at the price point you listed.
