My most recent stay was late May 2012 so it could easily have changed since then.

As a PLT I haven't paid for valet parking at that property. Drink certs were always given at arrival IME, and internet was included in the resort charge. Their website lists the following with respect to the resort charge:
A charge of $30 (plus tax) per room per night will be added to the guest folio. The daily resort charge includes the following:

Cultural Arts, Crafts, Lei Making & Hula Lessons
Local on island telephone calls and toll free telephone calls
Credit card access telephone calls
Self Parking, complimentary Valet parking for night of arrival
Morning Yoga
Wireless Internet Access
Resort Operated Courtesy Vehicle providing service to select Poipu locations, operational hours will vary by season.

Reading the info about the renovations and looking at the very nice picture of the garden view room suggests the rooms have been renovated, but a number of people in reviews on the SPG website for stays in the past month or two clearly indicate the room in the picture is nothing like the room they received. Now looking at Kauai Marriott as an alternative. Anyone who has stayed at both the Sheraton and the Marriott have any insights on the two properties?
Which of the Marriott properties are you thinking of on Kaua'i? The one in Lihue (actually two there) or Marriott's Waiohai Beach Club near Poipu?
