You cannot really call these people stupid. They are flying LH, getting miles for that and they are expecting to be able to use their miles in a reasonable way. BILD is explaining that there is no reasonable way to do this, so the mileage programmes of LH and AB are useless(*).
(*) expect for these few hundreds of FT members that fly enough to buy C/F awards or get Companion awards
Why do you think BILD is recommending to have a look at BA?
Passengers need even less miles and pay less compared to LH.
People are not stupid using Y awards but LH is forcing them into sub-optimal solutions. Selling 99 EUR tickets and overcharging on award tickets is very representative of Lufthansa's evergreen strategy: we set the rules and we don't care.
