My Bose came with an adapter unit for two prong airplane plugs. One prong folds back. Turns out this unit has a resistor or something in it to fix the sound.

So bare in to the plane is noisy.

Through the adapter with the second plug pulled back is a dream.

Just don't leave it on the plane.
