Hidden deep in the PG website is
this gem.
There are currently 4 flights per day on this route. Three are operated by A319 with 12 C seats. The remainder is operated by an ATR 72.
As of Dec 1 the three flights will no longer contain any C seats since PG is moving toward a European style middle seat block on rows 1-3 of the eco cabin. The new name for this will be Premier Class.
The website still lists the route being served by a 319 which is interesting because there are only 2 configs in the fleet that don't have C; there are 4 that do. (None of their 320s have C.) Since I'm not seeing any similar announcement for MLE, BOM, DAC I can only assume there's nothing being done to any interiors.
The reason I'm posting a warning is this lovely paragraph at the end of the page:
If you would like to purchase Premiere Class seating for flights between Bangkok - Phnom Penh v.v. or Samui - Kuala Lumpur** v.v., please select Business Blue Saver or Business Blue Ribbon.
Bottom line is they are still charging C tix prices and still claiming it's the Blue Ribbon Class when it's not.
Should you decide to go with this new 'class' beware of the 31" seat pitch (which they tout) which gives me further belief they're moving to the A320.
** USM-KUL is a fairly new route.
