You might as well transfer them to his FF account directly.

I recently applied for the 55k offer for my mother.
Created a new FF account and transferred 1k to her account.
Logged off.
Went to http://www.unitedexplorercard.com/Premier
Logged in.
And I saw the 65k offer.

No offense but I think you'd find better luck in this thread.
