I can't remember what it was - somewhere around £2k - for two F LHR-SYD returns, but frankly I don't mind. I don't see these as free seats, but cheap seats. I guess it will have cost about £1k for the two LHR-NRT F tickets more recently. In both cases I flew when I wanted to and even restricted bookings in A class for those tickets would be >£21k and fully flex F would have been £42k. I spent ~£3k for tickets that were in effect fully flexible and refundable. What's to compalin about?

Perhaps if everyone who finds these outragous fees too much were to stop booking reward flights and so save themselves a lot of angst, there would be more availability for the rest of us Only kidding guys, you can put down the knives....
