It's also possible to get from Manhattan to JFK for only $2.25 with a Metrocard, using the subway and the Q10 bus. Allow about 1 1/2 hours from midtown to JFK Terminal 5 by this method; ride the AirTrain from T5 to any other terminal free of charge.
