There are seasonal reductions in capacity. Generally, flights will be suspended through the winter and start picking up again in the spring or early summer. I don't think BCN or MXP will see summer service cancelled, nor will MUC. However, there's lower traffic on these routes over the winter, so it's more economical to funnel people through AMS and CDG.
