I went on co.com since EI is partners w/ UA/CO and could see availability out of BOS/JFK to DUB/SNN. I don't know if it's the same inventory bucket for BA Avios as well. I found about 4 max seats per flight per day. Wonder if this is another way to check on line.

Good to know that we have to keep expectations low re: EI metal from Ireland off to the continental Europe.

In addition to flying EI across the pond, can we attach to the award a flight(s) on BA metal from DUB to LHR or via LHR to say CDG do we still pay YQ? If yes, at least it is less than trans Atlantic.
I have a similar question.

Next summer, I'm planning on booking 5 awards MCI-Marseilles using Avios. I'm expecting that the routing will end up being MCI-ORD-DUB-XXX where XXX could be anything in the general vicinity of southern France that EI flies. (2 to 3 week trip with a rental car, so "general vicinity" is quite flexible -Geneva, Barcelona, Paris, Milan, whatever.)

Would I be able to book this as a single itin, AA connecting to EI in Chicago and to another EI flight in DUB, with no YQ and without kicking in some sort of more expensive award in miles than the individual segments would be?

It looks like I might save a few Avios overall by getting to Boston or JFK but not enough to warrant the extra segment... If 5 seats are never available on a single EI flight, then a couple of us will go a day or two earlier, but the question about the single itin for each group still applies: mainly it's about interlining the bags where applicable and having decent irrops protection if the first segment either direction has problems.
