I remember my first flight on BA in 1978 LHR-ORD on a 747, it was all very exciting my first long haul flight and Concorde was at an adjoining gate !
I recall the plane had a name (possibly The City of Sheffield) however on searching that name I find an aircraft from 1999 which is clearly not the one.
I know it may seem sentimental but hey all my cars have had names and it's easier to remember than G-XXXX !
