According to southwest.com, on October 22, 2012 the bookable window will be extended through May 31, 2013. If recent trends continue, the booking window extension will happen pre-dawn for most or all of us (it was reportedly 0530 Herb Time last time around), and there will be no DING! alert. Note that this extension was originally scheduled one week earlier (15-Oct). If the schedule extension happens as planned, there will be 222 bookable days of inventory.
As
announced by SWA last week, this schedule extension will feature the conversion of four more AirTran cities to SWA: Charlotte (CLT); Flint (FNT); Portland (PWM) and Rochester (ROC). All four changeovers are scheduled for 14-Apr-2013.
