Excellent question ... as nobody ever tells the truth about this.

Be VERY careful. I went into the water and in just about three seconds was donating blood. You see, anyone trying to swim in THAT bit of ocean will be
doing a very delicate dance with lots of hard sharp coral.

Needless to say, I did not trying swimming there anymore. And when I inquired to management why on earth there was no signage warning guests of the dangerous underwater conditions JUST BEYOND the area where THEIR beach meets the sea, I was told they were simply unaware of this situation -
that was a blatant untruth, and I'm being generous here.

I could write volumes about our (my wife and I) stay at the Sheraton Senggigi ... some good ... and some bad. Suffice to say, you get what you pay for : rates at this hotel are quite attractive BUT, buyer beware - this particular Sheraton property is on the LOWER end of the brand standard.
