Just checked in to the Renaissance Seattle (one of our two corporate preferred hotels in Seattle, stayed at the other one, Springhill Suites, during my previous stay).

My Platinum status rated me at 25th floor city view (one floor below the Concierge Lounge ... I will be getting my exercise this week making trips up to the lounge).

I chose the Merlot and Fruit and Pretzels as my arrival gifts. The Merlot is fine, but the fruit consists of precisely one apple, and the pretzels are a package of small salted pretzels. I was hoping for more fruit and/or fewer/larger pretzels. Will try the cheese plate next time.

AATrout was spot on about the rooms. I have a nice view of the city and can see Puget Sound between the neighboring skyscrapers.

Appetizers in the lounge included egg rolls (hot), sushi rolls (crab and tuna), cheese and crackers, and vegetables with dip, and are served until 7:30pm, when they roll out the dessert. (That reminds me, I have 19 minutes for to get seconds. Who needs a restaurant?!)

All in all, a very nice experience so far. Stay tuned for breakfast.
