In terms of IROP recovery, I'd think Syracuse has Albany beat easily. Syracuse has LGA (4x/day), JFK (1x/day), ATL (3x/day), DTW (5x/day) and MSP (1x/day) for 14 flights/day. ALB has ATL (3x/day), DTW (5x/day), MSP (1x/day). Not to mention, Syracuse has Rochester pretty near by (about 75 minute drive), while there is not really an airport nearby with Delta service from Albany (the closest might be BDL). For OA protection as well, ALB only has 30 flights on UA/US (DL doesn't have an agreement with WN), while SYR has 36 flights on UA/US/AA (no agreement with B6 at SYR).
