have our next F flight coming up soon, LHR to LAS. A few questions :
We are usually always some of the last PAX boarding and as such, only have time for one champagne prior to take off. However, next time we intend to be boarding first, so will have time to relax a bit. Is it uncouth to ask for a top-up or does one wait for a refill ?
Moving on, normally we eat a couple of hours after take-off, take an alcholic beverage or two, three... etc then sleep for just a few hours. Then normally have a coffee and sandwich before getting ready for landing
But due to work commitments the week prior to the next flight, I intend to sleep pretty much the whole flight (after some food and a beverage or two, well, of course!).
So I intend to eat straightway quickly. May one ask for 'quick' service and 2 mains at the same time, instead of starters, mains, desert etc ? Or will this be frowned upon and result in me being called a 'little piggy' as once happened when flying UC with my previous preferred airline.
Also, if I then asked the CC for a few sandwiches and a bag of chips to be delivered to my seat 5 minutes prior to the seat belt signs going on, how happy would they be to oblige ? And also maybe a refreshing cocktail ?
Finally, my last question relates to the 'salad' as a starter. I cant remember if it was in F or CW, but once I was told by CC that salad comes as standard with all meals and does not need to be requested. Is this true or was the alcohol kicking in again and I imagined it ?
