A few hops around the gulf can work out. DXB-KWI for example shows at 1800AED with 2000 tier miles. Just be sure to do it before Tuesday night/Wednsday morning when all hell breaks loose during the Eid holidays. Monday and Tuesday has that opening. Also, DOH was similar to that price. So thats cheaper + closer + enough miles. Good luck.

Another suggestion is to email them with your Nov. flight details and ask whether they will renew your status based on that and your previous loyalty. Mention your rebooking as a means to confirm your renewal attempt, but due to the delay it wasn't possible to do so. Worth a try in my book.
