I am about to book YVR-TPE-HKG-TPE-YVR for $1469 all in from EVA Airways.
Trip is for 12/31-1/7-1/11-1/11.

1) Is this good deal? (from what I can find, China Airlines $1600 with similar flight)

2) I was initially thinking about going to other Asian destination like Thailand, Singapore, or Shanghai. Anyone know other route from YVR to save money?
I can extend the trip one more week if needed.

3) I have TD Infinite Travel rewards card which earns about 4.5% from Expedia. Is there better website than Expedia for flight booking?

4) I figure Taiwan doesn't need Visa for one week stay for Canadians, but how about Hong Kong?
