I believe I have made my point regarding EC pretty clear here and there, but a new topic new chances. My first and foremost complaint would be that these are not free for all elites. For me personally this kind of is a deal taker for flying KL short haul.

However since this is about questions, how about this one: currently they often do not sell all 12 exit row seats. With 30 additional paid seats that makes 42 paid seats. Are they seriously believing almost a third of economy pax are willing to pay?

....and since even that might not be a question you would want to ask them directly, how about in this form: When a flight is fully booked, and no (or not all) EC seats have been sold, how will the upgrading be done? Will OLCI be unavailable once all regular economy seats have been taken (thus upgrading will be manually and random), or will OLCI at some point 'unlock' these seats and make them free for the remaining pax to choose?

If not automatically, will it be done at check in? Or will be people be given standby boarding passes, and upgraded to EC at the gate?

Lastly, I cannot stress enough how unhappy I am with the decision to make these paid for elites. I worked hard at getting gold level, and sitting at the front was a major benefit to me, in terms of comfort but mostly being able to leave quickly as usually I have a tight connection. I feel robbed of a benefit that was one of the main reasons to gain status for in the first place.
