Update UA IAH-YVR-YYJ "S" class

I called AE yesterday to find out what's going to happen with the YVR-YYJ AC metal codeshare that was part of my UA "S" booking (which I described above).

The agent was really helpful, though she was perplexed when I shared the experience of some other FTers (namely, UA "S" being mapped as a Tango class on AC codeshare). I was on hold for 30 minutes while she reviewed updated internal policies and worked it out with her supervisor.

The result? She looked at most recent class conversions, and was seeing that AC had been converting UA "S" to AC "T". With the support of her supervisor, she sent a memo to the AE credit department documenting that the AE agent and supervisor had confirmed to me that "S class in UA will convert into AC 'T' in Tango+ which is 100% status". This information is now in my account.

This particular flight, the return portion of a TPAC on Nov 30, will push me into E50k by about 270 miles. I see two options for me to ensure this happens:

1) Trust that the AE communication will be fully endorsed by the credit department (ie. just let it ride).
2) Abandon the last leg of my UA booking (YVR-YYJ) and rebook a separate PNR on AC in T+.

It's possible I can follow (1) and do a YYJ-YVR mile run after the fact...though my concern there would be that it would be late in the year, and it's possible the fares jump sharply (currently 217 a/i)...not to mention the inconvenience of sacraficing the time away from work or family.

Any thoughts or advice would be most welcome, "if you were in my shoes".

Thanks in advance
