This may be all that is needed, rather then a full lunch or dinner
Sort of like enjoying a glass of wine or trying to drink the whole bottle on a flight or before take off.
A very silly and non-related comment. Many people go to/from meetings or have short connections, leave very early in the morning or arrive late at night - a decent meal in domestic F has been an amenity where AA was doing better than the competition.
The point of this is the race to the bottom continues. AA is part of it. Nothing special in the air - same as the other guys.
