Even if it had occurred several stays afterwards (which hasn't happened yet). ... I wasn't looking to be held in any higher regard or whisked by private helicopter to my 5000 square metre suite-palace, but was actually quite surprised that not once in my post LTP stays was it even mentioned.
Of course, a few of those stays I actually had to 'lobby' for my earned, standard, basic Platinum accoutrements (internet, breakfast, lounge access etc). Perhaps that is the issue in the end...
As it thas been explained here many times, LT doesn't give you any additional benefits in comparison to year by year status. To me, it's designed to accomodate retirees or people who stopped travelling for business for them to enjoy status further. I am very happy as my career very likely may limit my business travel to 1 or 2 weeks a year at some point. LT may be a tiebreaker if two Plats (or Golds) are vying for a pre-upgrade (if really staff trained well).
