And I saw the building work going on behind the wood panels, and I can confirm it's not going to be much sooner.

There remains the First lounge on HKG pier, but that's nothing terribly exciting, the First Class Qantas lounge is better (go in straight after security).

My take on the perfect lounge is:

- View - SYD or JFK AA
- Front Staff - JFK AA or LAX AA
- Service staff - MEL or HKG CX Pier
- Seating comfort / facilities - JFK AA (power sockets everywhere).
- Work facilities - JFK AA (with a brownie point for CCR Boardroom for the recycled Concorde seats)
- Food - SYD, JFK CCR, or even LHR CCR on a good day
- Self service food - Flounge T3/T5
- Drink - LHR + JFK CCR for alcohol, JFK AA for non alcohol.
- Sleeping facilities - AMM
- Cabana - CCR LHR (pending the closure of HKG)
(too butch/northern to do spas)
