Far better to bite the bullet and move to a simple spend system. The more you spend, the better you travel. You can get to the shiny plastic card by doing a lot of flying in cheap seats, a little flying in really expensive seats or some combination in the middle.

Couple of this with the simple fact that there will be three legacy carriers within a relatively short period of time and that means those three will be less reliant on loyalty progams to breed loyalty.
They'll switch to a "simple spend system" crediting overwhelming survey response - portrayed as a rout.
