great. thanks for your answer. I have been ringing the executive club to ask to use Avios to upgrade, but they keep on saying there are no seats available right now for upgrades. They say try closer to the date. Is this normal? Surely all the business class seats aren't all booked?

Does anybody know when is the best time to ring again? My flight is Sunday week.
