Interesting report. I couldn't believe the prices of China-Japan airfares last time I had to fly that market, so I appreciate an alternative.

What kind of confirmation do you get from the airline once your ticket is booked? I'm going to BKK soon and I'm wondering if it would be enough to convince a gate agent in the USA that I'm just transiting PVG and don't require a visa...
